In this area are articles about EPPa which will be specially relevant to LEA / LA officers and those working in Children’s Services.

The EPPa mentor training package offers children services’ staff a two-day programme that is aimed at those who support schools with parent and community involvement. On completion of the course, participants will be able to support schools in their local area to undertake EPPa effectively and will be ina position to cascade this training down in their local area. Participants will also gain insight into the ways that EPPa helps schools to fulfil parent and community involvement elements of key national strategies such as Every Child Matters. The National College for School Leadership is currently running seminars on school leadership as part of their training programme. The EPPa strategy and Toolkit is being used as part of this process. For information about school leadership, parental involvement and the EPPa strategy
