ACHIEVING EFFECTIVE PARTNERSHIPS WITH PARENTS
THE AWARD
For schools wanting public recognition for their outstanding work with parents, EPPa also offers an optional award scheme. The criteria for the EPPa Award are included in the Toolkit. Going for the award also provides the school with a professional EPPa mentor which research shows is one of the most effective ways of helping schools to move forward on effective partnerships with parents.
Detailed advice about the EPPa Award, and how to apply, is also given in the Toolkit (EPPa Award booklet).
The cost of the award is as follows: £200 is payable on registration. An application form is included in the EPPa Award booklet.
There will then be three staged payments of £100 each to follow.
These costs are for:
A mentor who will help you through the Award process
Telephone support
Website support and on-line tracking
Assessment of your submitted portfolio
Accreditation process, including telephone interviews.
Certificate and use of the Achieving Effective Partnerships with Parents logo.
If a visit to your school is requested, this will be charged as extra.
